Brunch Wedding at Grey Rock

Ever met one of those people that as soon as you see them you have a big smile on your face? That no matter what your mood, they just resonate so much joy that you can’t help but share in it? This is Kimmy. She is like a smiling firecracker, full of energy and love. We photographed their engagement photos at the state fair, where she and King were up for any hair raising ride I requested. Their wedding was so personal and extra special since they were married in the chapel at Kimmy’s school McDonogh. Reception followed at Grey Rock Mansion just down the road, where guests were greeted with the Macarena ( King allowed her one line dancing song, and she specifically told me pre-contract signing that this song would be played.) We had brunch (my favorite wedding meal, and really any meal), and such a perfect day, that if she had a direct line to God, the day couldn’t have been more perfect. Wishing you to the very best!

All things romantic at a Silver Swan Wedding

From Erica’s soft pink suede shoes to her ethereal flower crown, every detail at Erica and James waterfront wedding was soft, beautiful, and romantic. Sometimes I get so excited when I see a bride’s vision come to life, and really just blend so beautifully. It’s not easy to plan a wedding. There are so many choices, so many beautiful ways to create your dream look. This girl has exquisite taste, and beautiful friends, and such a wonderfully solid, and loving support system. I know she and James have everyone behind them, and that they are stronger for not just the love they share together, but the love that their family and friends share with them. Yes it was freezing outside, yes her feet were numb from photos because she is awesome and such a trooper. But inside there the venue was filled with warmth, laughter, and well a decent amount of flowing beverages. All things to warm you up on a cold day.

A Bridal Shower Tea Party in Wonderland

This post is a special because we are celebrating my very best friend’s little sister. Her Wonderland bridal shower was decorated with tea sets, soft purples and pinks, and beautifully set in the garden of one her dear friends and bridesmaid. Guests wore fasteners (the little hats. I had no idea either. ) and floral dresses. A harp played; there was even flowers frozen in the ice cubes, there were babies everywhere, and puppies licked plates that had been left unattended. It was lovely, and this beautiful bride was celebrated as the queen she is. I am so thrilled for Alyssa and wish her so much love, happiness, and adventure. Knowing her, it’s exactly what she’ll get. <3

Winter Wonderland Engagement Session at Deep Creek Lake

Lori had a vision. She wanted snow, water, and trees. We location scouted a bit, and asked me if I was willing to drive up to Deep Creek Lake for her engagement photos. Ummm, yes. 100% yes. You had me at snow. I love snow sessions. There is something so peaceful and a feeling of rightness in the world when walking through a forest with newly laid snow. Add waterfalls, and these two lovebirds who are completely at ease in front of the camera, and you have what dreams are made of. I cannot wait to see all the magic of their wedding day this year! See you two soon!

      Winter Wedding in Baltimore

When I met Alex and David for their engagement photos I knew, KNEW that they would be so lovely to photograph for their wedding. They are so lovingly swept up with each other, that taking photos was almost as simple as letting them be, and just being a fly on the wall, with a camera. Fast forward to their wedding in late January at St. Alphonsus church in Baltimore, which is a stunning Catholic church, and with a reception at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. It didn’t matter that it was freezing with some rain. The venue and church service were stress free. If you have never been to the BMI, do yourself a favor and go explore. Not only was it great for inside photos, but their guests really enjoyed the exhibits during cocktail hour. I loved the green bridesmaid dresses, and green and gold decor. Such a perfect combination in winter. It brings a feeling of warmth and elegance. Two attributes you feel upon meeting Alex. I am so happy to have been able to share in Alex and David’s wedding. I am so impressed with the dancing! Not only did they have rehearsed dance moves for the first dance, and both parent dances, but the entire bridal party had stellar introduction moves as well. I can imagine rehearsing was just full of a lot of fun, and it really was a joy to watch! Lastly, I have to mention the bubble tea! I had never heard of it before, but I know that it has a special place in their hearts while dating, and I just love that they had bubble tea delivered for their guests! It was one for the books for sure! Congratulations to you both! I wish you love and happiness in your journey together!
